The clock in our hall came from a shop that closed down over 20 years ago. It is an old wall clock with the loudest ticking mechanism I've ever heard and chimes on the hour, every hour as long as it's wound every three days!! Origins unknown, it's old enamelled face a bit on the ugly side, it's battered and worn, and has been repaired so much it's a wonder it's still working. It's always there, ticking away in the background and over the years we've learned to tune it out. We are only conscious of it when the house is quiet as it is this sleepy Saturday morning.
There are a few crafty events on in Sligo today which I hope to get to later. The Sligo Flea Market is taking place in the Model on the Mall until 5pm and down in Tobergal lane there are craft demonstrations on until 4pm as part of the Craftfest. Weather-wise its bright with showers so I might manage to get there between the showers.
The sixth and last DAILY DEAL of the week is up on my facebook page and I'm leaving it there for 48 hours. There are 6 coloured collars (in either 20" or 18" sizes) to choose from at half price - now €8 instead of €16 and postage is only €2 worldwide.
- Crafts have always been a big part of my life. They have been my obsession yet kept me sane. My latest obsession is crochet. Wool and the finished products have taken over the house. A blog seems like the next step in my woolie journey wherever that takes me. Feel free to pop in and see what I am up to.
