Well I have to start somewhere so it's straight in....
On the hook at the moment are about 3 projects. Why is it never just one?
Project 1; Started a few weeks ago is a royal blue scarf from a cone of fine wool bought at a sale of work. No idea of the composition but it feels like mercerised cotton. I wound off three balls of it and wound the three together to make a DK yarn that looks good on a 5mm hook.
Project 2; The reason project 1 was shelved! A shrug in a deep purple aran wool mix, worked on a 8mm hook. Slow work as its rather large - not the little shoulder shrug type but a full sleeved, back-warming cover-up to keep me warm during the winter while I work the 1,000,001 planed projects.
Project 3: A scarf challenge to see how long a scarf I can crochet out of a standard ball of sock wool. About half-way there and its about 24 inches long and 12 inches wide. Working on a 5mm hook and its looking good so far. Hopefully finished by the week-end. But whether it will be long enough is another question!
Will put up photos when I can get proper day light to take them in. Our weather these days has turned everything grey.
